The Nazareth Villages Courtyard in Summer

This area of Nazareth Villages, known as Village II,  formerly housed the music corridor of Nazareth Academy and College  where students became skilled with instrumental, piano, voice and wind instruments. Sister Macrina Wetterer, served as head of the music department for many years. The music wing was home to the Nazareth Orchestra, an outstanding group of musicians who captivated audiences with performances in the building's second floor auditorium. Village II is listed on the National Historic Register. Careful planning by the architects during the renovation of the building preserved the music rooms and the original staircases. Wood from the suspended balcony was used in the atrium.
